Glen Hills Middle School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Middle School Soccer Coach to lead a team during the 2026 school year. The season starts September 3rd and ends October 8th. Practice and games times are from 4:00-5:00 p.m. each day. The ideal candidate will teach the fundamentals of soccer skills and game strategy while fostering a positive, supportive environment that emphasizes sportsmanship, kindness, respect, and teamwork. Responsibilities: Teach and develop fundamental soccer skills, techniques, and game strategies. Plan and conduct engaging practices that support skill development and player growth. Manage and supervise a team of approximately 20 middle school athletes. Promote good sportsmanship, respect, responsibility, and positive character both on and off the field. Encourage teamwork, inclusion, and a positive learning environment for all players. Communicate effectively with students, parents, school staff, and administrators. Ensure player safety and adherence to school and league policies. Qualifications: Previous soccer playing experience preferred. Prior coaching, mentoring, or team management experience preferred. Ability to work effectively with students in grades 6-8. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Commitment to developing both athletic skills and positive character traits in student-athletes. Desired Characteristics: Passion for working with young athletes. Positive role model who demonstrates integrity, patience, and respect. Ability to motivate, teach, and inspire students of varying skill levels. Commitment to fostering sportsmanship, kindness, understanding, and teamwork.
