Middle School Wrestling Coach

JOIN A PROGRAM WITH A PROVEN RECORD OF SUCCESS! The School District of Random Lake is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated Middle School Wrestling Head Coach. This role is a vital bridge in our wrestling program: The Head Coach will work directly and collaboratively with the High School Wrestling Coaching Staff to ensure seamless athletic development, consistent technical terminology, and unified program culture across all grade levels.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• High School Staff Collaboration: Work in close partnership with the Random Lake High School coaching staff to align drill work, technical systems, and athletic expectations to build a cohesive district wide wrestling program.
• Skill & Athlete Development: Plan and execute structured practices teaching core fundamentals, conditioning, and mat strategy designed to prepare middle schoolers for high school competition.
• Meet Leadership: Coach and mentor student athletes during dual meets and tournaments while fostering sportsmanship and academic accountability.
• Safety & Communication: Maintain a safe training environment and maintain open communication with district leadership, parents, and student athletes.

Qualifications:

• Previous competitive wrestling experience (high school or collegiate) or prior wrestling coaching experience required.
• Proven track record of working effectively with youth/middle school student athletes.
• Strong desire to collaborate within a unified district wrestling system.
• Valid CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain prior to season) and compliance with WIAA requirements and district background check.
