Job Description

Description

SAIC is seeking Mission Systems Engineer to support SAIC's Prime Program, Landmark AOS in Chantilly, VA. Landmark AOS is a large SETA program, supporting the NRO's Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED), responsible for the acquisition of systems over the complete end-to-end life cycle.

In this role, you will help plan, test, and integrate GEOINT and multi‑INT mission products and software services supporting Combatant Commands and DoD partners. You will advise government managers responsible for enterprise‑wide capabilities, define key technology demonstrations, and integrate advanced capabilities into regional exercises-directly shaping how the mission delivers timely, actionable intelligence.

Key Responsibilities to include:

  • Support technical and programmatic interchanges, identify issues early, and provide engineering guidance that enhances overhead and tactical mission capabilities and accelerates kill‑chain closure.
  • Plan and execute GEOINT and multi‑INT integration efforts, including automation of GEOINT computer vision and MTI workflows.
  • Evaluate and integrate analytic modernization tools such as Thresher, FADE, Turbo, and other multi‑INT exploitation environments.
  • Conduct system trade assessments, interface evaluations, and lifecycle performance analyses to inform enterprise‑level decisions.
  • Apply systems analysis and operational mission modeling to define KPIs, measures of effectiveness, and architectural runway trade‑offs.
  • Develop high‑quality briefings, technical documentation, and modernization roadmaps for Program and Project Manager engagements.
  • Engage with users, stakeholders, and mission partners, collaborating with Landmark AOS engineers and domain experts to demonstrate and operationalize advanced processing and exploitation capabilities.

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience

  • Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience. Relevant experience to be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph.
  • Familiarity with analytic modernization tools (Thresher, FADE, Turbo) and multi‑INT exploitation environments.
  • Strong understanding of software architectures, spacecraft ground systems, and intelligence mission management workflows.
  • Experience managing technical performance, schedules, interfaces, and risk.
  • Background in secure cloud architectures (e.g., C2S, IC GovCloud) and Agile development.
  • Proven success in fast‑paced, collaborative environments, with strong communication skills across government, SETA, FFRDC, and contractor teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
