Facility: Madison Regional Health SystemShift: Rotating day shifts, hours varying 6am-8:30pm; Weekend, Call, Holiday RotationWeekly Hours: 40 hoursPay Info: Potential Tuition Reimbursement or a Sign-on BonusJob SummaryResponsible for pre-analytical, analytical, and post analytical phases of testingFollows standard operating procedures for MLS/MLTsEnsures laboratory safety, quality and regulatory requirements are metRecognizes safety hazards and complies with all safety practices and protocolsCollects and processes lab specimens with proper equipmentPerforms clinical laboratory testing, including manual and automated methodsCollect and manage samples of blood and other fluids from patientsQualificationsPossess a national certification for Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) through an approved Health and Human Services (HHS) agency, for example American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or be registry eligible. Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) also acceptable. Registry eligible candidates must successfully complete the Board of Registry examination within 12 months of employment. Maintain continuing education credits equivalent to the state requirements as needed for license and certifications. Mandatory Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or training.BenefitsFull-time positions come with Madison Regional Health System's benefits package and a competitive salary.
