Do you want to make a positive impact on the lives of children in our community? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team at YMCA as a Mobile Fit Instructor. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who are available to work a minimum of two shifts that are Monday - Friday (no holidays or weekends in this job!) between the after school hours of 2:30pm-6:00pm.
Mobile Fit Staff General Overview:
- Design and implement program activities that are culturally relevant, developmentally appropriate, and consistent with YMCA values
- Ensure children are safe and supervised at all times
- Ensure children receive 30 minutes of physical activity at each site visit
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation
- Maintain positive relationships with youth, parents, staff, and program partners, modeling relationship building skills in all interactions.
Qualifications:
- Must be 17 years of age or older
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
- Prior experience working with diverse populations of children/youth preferred
Physical Demands:
- Sufficient agility and mobility to perform essential functions of the job, including standing, stooping, crouching, hearing, seeing, and listening
- Ability to participate in activities in a variety of indoor and outdoor settings, and varying temperatures
