  • Technicians will be responsible for the complete operation of PCB production area. Must be able to use hand tools, millimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators and other precision electronic instruments. Operator builds through-hole and SMT boards, inspects, test, repair, programs and troubleshoots a wide variety of analog and digital Electronic assemblies and warning systems consisting of variety of printed circuit boards. Will correct product performance to meet specifications and maintain quality standards.

     

    Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Must be proficient in the set-up, adjusting, trouble shooting, preventive maintenance as well as total operation of production line equipment.
    • Will be responsible for operational and functional tests on component assemblies/systems, developing specification, modifying operating programs, programming chips.
    • Will be responsible for full operation and preventative maintenance of all production area line equipment including but not limited to: conveyors, heating equipment, robotic equipment, SMT placement machines (Assembleon, Yamaha, etc) wave solder, conformal coat machines and reflow ovens, potting equipment, automatic optical inspection equipment.
    • Must be able to use hand tools, machine ruler, caliper, fixtures, computer and fax machine.
    • Operator must possess good troubleshooting specifications, prototype prints and special instructions.
    • Work with a variety of standard and non-standard product involving amplifiers, microprocessors, status monitors, power and switching components including sub assemblies and interconnection wiring.
    • Will be responsible for performing all necessary duties in order to produce good quality PCB boards.
    • Responsibilities may include but not limited to: production setups, wave-solder operation, inspection, testing, build, prep or pull parts for assemblies, programming and repair of both thru hole and surface mount components, analyzing test results to determine cause of operational faults and communicating excessive or recurring defects.
    • Must be able to organize, prioritize and schedule work daily, read blue prints/ schematics and other instructions which are written or computer generated to meet Kan Ban and MRP generated requirements.
    • Keep clear and accurate daily production records and data as required.
    • Must have good communication skills to communicate with co-workers, Engineering, Suppliers, and Management.
    • Must be able and willing to initiate problem- solving discussions and work with Engineering or Management to resolve issues.
    • Operator will train new employees in all job functions.
    • Operator must follow safety rules, ESD guidelines and keep work cell area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
    • The operator shall perform any other duties as assigned.

     

    Education and Work Experience:

    • Operator must have a 2-year technical college degree, certificate or equivalent.
    • Minimum three years or more work experience in a closely related industry preferred, be able to read and understand assembly prints, wiring diagrams and schematics and be able to relate well with customers, vendors design/test engineering and other manufacturing personnel.

Wage Range: $21.47 - $29.50
