Job Overview: Support Air Force airborne systems through Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). Own the digital thread for requirements, architecture, and modeling across hardware, software, and operations. Use SysML models for simulations, analysis, and stakeholder collaboration. Position is onsite in Dayton, OH. Essential Functions:
Capture, decompose, and trace system-level requirements.
Analyze, define, and refine architectures and interfaces.
Develop system structure and behavior using MBSE tools like NoMagic Cameo Systems Modeler (CSM).
Collaborate with government stakeholders, software, test, mechanical, and electrical teams.
Conduct detailed analysis and simulations of future military systems.
Required Technical Skills
Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods.
SysML modeling, preferably using Cameo/MagicDraw.
Experience working in a System Integration Laboratory (SIL) environment.
Required Functional Skills:
Requirements capture, decomposition, decomposition, and tracing.
System architecture and interface definition, refinement, and analysis.
Required Behavioral Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication for one-on-one discussions or small groups.
Multi-tasking in dynamic environments.
Strong desire to grow and learn new technologies.
Desired Technical Skills:
Executable SysML simulation capabilities and scripting languages.
MBSE methodologies such as MagicGrid.
Desired Functional Skills:
Understanding of military CONOPS.
Agile methodologies, preferably SCRUM or Kanban.
Atlassian tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, software engineering, test engineering, or related field plus 8-12 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus 6-10 years; or 12+ years without degree.
Active DoD Top Secret clearance (TS/SCI preferred).
