Reimagine How Buildings Come to Life
Deploy's Client is transforming construction by fusing advanced manufacturing with cutting-edge technology to deliver high-quality modular buildings at scale. We rethink how projects are designed, fabricated, and delivered—driving efficiency, scalability, and sustainability from plant to site.
A Day in the Life
You arrive on site as the business owner for the project—owning schedule, P&L, quality, safety, and the client experience. Morning begins with a schedule risk review across set, permanent power, startup, inspection, and turnover. You clear roadblocks, hold trades to dates, and trigger recovery if a partner slips. Midday you’re negotiating and executing subcontracts and Owner Change Orders, aligning costs to the job’s JCR margin target, and approving pay applications within your delegated limits. Afternoon is spent leading walkthroughs with the client, inspecting work against Deploy's Client standards, and preparing the site for AHJ and State Health inspections. You mentor Field Engineers, ensuring they grow into the next generation of field leaders—because everything the plant built efficiently can still be lost in the field if execution isn’t sharp.
What You’ll Own
Site Operations & Logistics
- Full accountability for the assigned jobsite’s outcomes: schedule, financial performance (P&L), quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
- Primary onsite point of contact, overseeing logistics, client walkthroughs, and project meetings—either performed directly or through direct reports.
- Lead preconstruction planning, site logistics reviews, and pre-mobilization coordination.
Schedule Management
- Own the master jobsite schedule and the commitments it represents to the client and to Deploy's Client internal teams.
- Lead risk management across set, permanent power, startup, inspection, and turnover; initiate recovery plans when a trade misses dates.
Financial Management
- Own jobsite cost, margin, and overall financial performance.
- Manage labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and general conditions to achieve profit goals in the JCR.
- Approve and defend the jobsite JCR position; approve vendor invoices and pay applications within delegated authority.
Subcontractor & Vendor Management
- Own trade and vendor performance: make award decisions within authority and remove non-performing subcontractors when required.
- Resolve disputes and claims proactively before escalation is necessary.
Contracts & Change Management
- Negotiate, review, and execute subcontracts.
- Negotiate, review, and execute Owner Change Orders.
- Identify entitlement and exposure under prime and subcontracts; protect Deploy's Client position through timely notice and documentation.
Quality & Safety
- Lead safety and quality culture on site and hold every trade to Deploy's Client standards.
- Own inspection outcomes and resolve any AHJ or State Health findings.
Client & Stakeholder Communication
- Manage the day-to-day client relationship and set clear expectations.
- Represent Deploy's Client credibly to client field and project leadership at all forums.
Team Leadership & Development
- Train, mentor, and develop Field Engineers; own performance of direct reports.
- Coordinate staffing with the Senior Field Project Manager; surface capability gaps early.
Scope of Authority
Boundary with the Program Team: Program Management owns the prime contract, the total project P&L, and program-let subcontracts. This role owns jobsite execution, field-let subcontracts, and the construction cost and margin position reported into the project JCR.
- Own and approve the construction cost and margin position for the assigned jobsite as reported into the project JCR.
- Negotiate and execute field-let subcontracts, and Owner Change Orders arising from field conditions on the assigned jobsite, within delegated dollar authority and with concurrent notification to the Project Manager II who owns the project change order log.
- Issue the routine contractual notice required to preserve Deploy's Client position on the assigned jobsite, with concurrent notification to the Senior Field Project Manager.
- Approve subcontractor awards, vendor invoices, and pay applications for the assigned jobsite within delegated limits.
- Commit Deploy's Client to field schedule dates on the assigned jobsite that are supported by verified capacity.
- Remove a non-performing subcontractor from the assigned jobsite within delegated authority.
- Direct the work of assigned Field Project Manager I and Field Engineer personnel and evaluate their performance.
- Stop work for a safety or quality condition, and settle subcontractor disputes and backcharges on the assigned jobsite, including those exceeding Field Project Manager I limits, within delegated authority.
Requires Escalation
- Any commercial position, change order, or settlement exceeding delegated dollar authority.
- Any Owner Change Order that does not arise from field conditions on the assigned jobsite; those belong to the Project Manager II or Senior Project Manager.
- Reallocation of field personnel between jobsites; this role recommends, the Senior Field Project Manager decides.
- Any commitment that consumes manufacturing capacity or internal resources not already allocated to the project.
- Any owner claim or demand, any notice of intent to claim, and any mediation, litigation, or termination exposure.
- Any change to prime contract terms, indemnity, insurance, warranty, or liquidated damages.
- Field standards, tooling, and process decisions applying beyond the assigned jobsite.
- Hiring, termination, and compensation decisions.
