Position Summary                                                                          

The Behavioral Health Training and Residency Program Manager oversees and manages all elements of the MOMENTUM Residency at Mary’s Center with possible expansion to other areas of training and staff development. This position is responsible for providing clinical and administrative supervision and oversight to the MOMENTUM residents. This position is responsible for implementing the MOMENTUM curriculum to residents including organizing trainings and workshops, mentorships, and supplemental supervisions. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining partnerships with external school sites and contractors responsible for providing training, mentorship and supervision to residents. This position is responsible for ongoing recruitment and hiring. This position ensures that residents provide clinically sound and ethical behavioral health services in their school settings in compliance with all applicable requirements and standards of care. This position is responsible for considering and pursuing expansion and growth opportunities for the MOMENTUM Residency including expanding into early childhood behavioral health.

Reportability                                                                                                                                                            

The MOMENTUM Program Manager reports directly to the Director of School-Based Behavioral Health.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities     

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. 

  • Develop, maintain and manage partnerships with school sites hosting MOMENTUM residents
  • Develop and implement contracts and MOUs with partner sites, consultants, and contractors
  • Provides oversight of contractors and consultants, ensuring compliance with scope of work, performance expectations, and quality standards
  • Manages administrative processes related to contractor and consultant compensation, including timecard verification, invoice tracking, and payment processing.
  • Manages the program budget, including tracking expenditures, monitoring allocations, and ensuring spending aligns with program goals and funding requirements
  • Provide clinical and administrative supervision to school-based mental health residents
  • Oversee clinical service delivery of residents to include reviewing intake packets, diagnostic and assessment plans, individualized treatment plans, clinical notes, insurance claims, and other clinical service delivery protocols and mandates. 
  • Contribute to clinical curriculum development and oversee implementation of training for early career behavioral health providers participating in MOMENTUM residency
  • Participate in Joint Coordinating Committee with MOMENTUM to monitor and evaluate MOMENTUM residency at Mary’s Center
  • Lead recruitment activities for annual residency program for early career behavioral health providers
  • Facilitate integration of residents into Mary’s Center Behavioral Health Department and Mary’s Center as a whole as well as into placement sites
  • Identify opportunities for program growth and expansion and collaborate with different behavioral health programs at Mary’s Center to facilitate expansion
  • Where appropriate, identify opportunities to incorporate larger department into trainings
  • Participate in Mary’s Center meetings that further school-based work including staff meetings, specialized committee meetings, and committees on specialized topics as they arise. 
  • Stay abreast of evidence-based practices that support school based behavioral health and provide supervision that guides providers to utilize and improve their capacity in delivering the practices.  
  • Engage in compliance related quality assurance measures including but not limited to quarterly case reviews, review of unlocked notes report weekly, claims reports, and regular case record auditing. 
  • Monitor and evaluate performance metrics for MOMENTUM residents
  • Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities –

  • This position requires a master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or related field
  • Advanced license (LICSW or LPC) to practice psychotherapy in the District of Columbia. Within 6 months of hire, candidates will need to be licensed in both the District of Columbia and Maryland.
  • Working knowledge of Windows and Word; knowledge of patient confidentiality issues and HIPAA compliance/regulation are essential.

Language Requirement – Ability to communicate effectively in English is required.  The ability to communicate in Spanish is preferred but not required.

Physical Demands –Regularly required to sit; frequently required to reach with hands and arms, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk or hear; must be able to lift objects up to twenty-five (25) pounds.

Work Environment –Mostly in a typical office or clinic setting with quiet to moderate noise level.  May be exposed to extreme cold, heat, and humidity due to outside weather conditions. This position is located full time at one of Mary’s Center partner school sites.
