About the Role:
Central Texas Children's Academy in Killeen, TX is looking for an energetic and dependable Morning Shift Opener to be the first friendly face our little ones see each day! This is a wonderful opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families in our community. If you're a morning person with a passion for early childhood education, we'd love to meet you!



Responsibilities:

• Open the facility each morning and prepare classrooms for the day's activities
• Greet and receive children during morning drop-off in a warm, welcoming manner
• Supervise and engage children in early morning activities and routines
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in care at all times
• Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and incoming staff during shift transitions
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom and common area environment
• Follow all state licensing regulations and childcare center policies

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a childcare, early childhood education, or daycare setting preferred
• Ability to reliably arrive early and open the facility on time each morning
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children, parents, and staff
• Must pass a background check and meet Texas childcare licensing requirements
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Patient, nurturing, and dependable with a genuine love for working with young children
• High school diploma or GED required; CDA or early childhood coursework a plus
