We are seeking a Mortgage Loan Operations Specialist to prepare closing document packages for loan closings; prepare and send wires for loan closings; intake documents post-closing; submit loan packages to investors for sold loans; complete portfolio loans for imaging; track trailing documents, i.e., recorded mortgages and final title work; and assist with our stale check processes.  The individual will provide back-up support to the department’s appraisal desk.  The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic, task-oriented environment, excels at problem-solving, and consistently meets deadlines while staying engaged and productive.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Monitor loan pipeline and follow up on upcoming lock expirations
• Prepare closing documents and support day-of-close activities
• Communicate with loan originators, closing agents, title companies, and attorneys
• Resolve outstanding documentation with closing partners
• Assist with recording and filing documents
• Manage loan funding and disbursements
• Return final documents to borrowers after closing
• Provide backup support for appraisal functions

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years professional office experience
• Knowledge of Mortgage loan processes

• Accuracy and meticulous attention to detail required

• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to navigate multiple computer systems and programs with working knowledge of Word and Excel
• Ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously, meet deadlines, and show flexibility to change direction when needed
• Team-oriented and the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization
• Service-oriented, polite, and respectful
• Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to take direction and instruction and follow through independently until project completion

HOURS: Regular business hours, Monday through Friday.
