The successful candidate brings hands-on residential mortgage processing and closing experience, works independently, and manages multiple loans accurately in a deadline-driven environment.As a community bank serving customers for over 130 years, we value accuracy, organization, teamwork, and exceptional customer service.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess residential mortgage loans, including conventional, FHA, VA, and construction loans, from application through closing; review documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable requirements.Prepare and review loan estimates and related disclosures when assigned processing duties, coordinate documentation and underwriting conditions with loan officers, underwriters, borrowers, and other parties.Prepare, review, and issue initial, revised, and final closing disclosures in accordance with applicable TRID requirements and disclosure deadlines.Prepare and review closing documentation and packages; verify loan terms, fees, figures, and closing instructions, and coordinate closing requirements with settlement agents and other parties.Coordinate and execute mortgage loan funding activities, including verifying funding conditions and documentation and arranging accurate, timely disbursement of loan proceeds.Complete accurate loan boarding and required loan setup in applicable systems following closing.Research and resolve closing-related documentation discrepancies and corrections identified during the separate post-closing review process.Maintain complete and accurate loan records; communicate status, documentation needs, and deadlines promptly and professionally.Manage multiple files and competing priorities independently while meeting established quality, service, and compliance expectations.Perform other related duties as assigned.Required QualificationsMinimum three years of hands-on residential mortgage experience, including direct experience in both mortgage loan processing and closing.Demonstrated experience preparing closing disclosures, closing packages, and funding documentation and coordinating residential mortgage closings.Experience with conventional, FHA, VA, and construction mortgage loans.Working knowledge of TRID disclosure requirements, mortgage documentation, loan origination systems, and applicable lending regulations.Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, communication, time management, and problem-resolution abilities.Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.Preferred QualificationsExperience with Encompass loan origination software.Hands-on experience with mortgage loan funding and boarding.Why Join First Federal?Monday-Friday schedule.Jean Fridays with a First Federal polo provided.Employee wellness program.Paid holidays, vacation, sick time, birthday, and work anniversary.Comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, and a 401(k) with employer matching.CompensationPay Range: $25.00-$30.00 per hour, depending on education and experience.First Federal Savings Bank is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
