- Backend mortgage operations / loan processing support
- Works in retail home loans (people buying/refinancing houses)
- No customer interaction – works with internal teams + vendors
- Task-based role supporting the mortgage processor
- Focus on verification, documentation, and research
Key things to highlight while hiring / screening- Basic mortgage domain understanding (home loans, insurance, appraisal, VOE)
- Experience with documentation / data validation / admin work
- Ability to coordinate with third-party vendors (credit, employment, insurance)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication (email/vendor follow-ups)
- Reliability & consistency (biggest factor)
- Comfortable with Excel + SharePoint-type tools
- Ability to handle repetitive, task-based work
