Pay Range: $20 - $23/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare pre-closing Loan Quality Initiative requirements, conduct credit analysis, and ensure quality control of loan information
- Provide accurate closing and funding of mortgage loans
- Review title commitments, appraisals, flood and homeowners’ insurance policies, condo questionnaires, assets, and credit
- Meet deadlines and assist with production goals
- Represent the Mortgage Department at various events and special projects as directed by management
- Ensure the security and confidentiality of all account information and compliance with applicable laws, including the Bank Secrecy Act
- Perform other duties as assigned
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:- High school diploma or GED
- Meets qualifications to obtain NMLS certification
- 2+ years of previous banking or Credit Union experience (preferred)
- Previous mortgage experience in loan processing, loan origination, or financial services (preferred)
- Knowledge of Client, NCUA, and AAFCU Mortgage Lending Guidelines (preferred)
- Experience with Residential Mortgage Closing and Funding (preferred)
- Proficiency in PC Software including Desktop Underwriting, Mortgage LOS applications, and Episys (preferred)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe software (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple files in a fast-paced environment
- Above-average interpersonal and communication skills, including professional telephone manners
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels both verbally and in writing
- Ability to speak, read, and write Spanish is a plus
- Capacity for attention to detail and ability to work well under deadlines and high-volume pressure
- Ability to maintain satisfactory performance and attendance
