Mortuary Transporter (Beaufort, SC)

Job Description: The Mortuary Transporter will complete and assist in the removal and transport of the deceased to the funeral home.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Completing or assisting in removal of descendants from hospitals, coroner offices, convalescent homes and residences.
• Performs verification of the deceased and reviews required documentation.
• Ability to lift 100+ pounds safely.
• Excellent customer service skills and respect towards families.
• Ability to properly fill out paperwork as assigned by the funeral home for removal of the deceased.
• Willingness and ability to work night shift and/or be on call.
• Assist funeral directors as needed.
• Clean Driving record/to be approved by Insurance Company
• Other duties as assigned by the location manager

Job Types:: Part-time

Salary: $15.00 an hour, paid biweekly. This is a part-time, non-exempt hourly position. 

Location: This position is required to be onsite as needed.
