Q'Straint is the World Leader in Mobility Passenger Securement Systems. We are currently recruiting for a Mounter/Packager. The Mounter/Packager assembles and mounts retractors according to engineering drawings and specified torque requirements, then inspects, labels, and packages completed products according to work order, production, and shipping requirements. We are hiring full-time candidates for the 6:30 AM–5:00 PM shift, as well as part-time candidates available to work either 6:30 AM–11:30 AM or 12:00 PM–5:00 PM. DELIVERABLES & RESPONSIBILITIES - Retractor Assembly & Mounting
- Assemble retractors according to engineering drawings, Bills of Material (BOM), and established work instructions.
- Mount retractors in the correct position and orientation as specified on the applicable drawing.
- Use a pneumatic impact to install and secure mounting hardware safely and efficiently.
- Follow specified torque requirements and verify that fasteners are tightened to the required specification.
- Inspect completed assemblies to confirm correct retractor placement, secure mounting, and conformance to the drawing.
- Packaging & Work Order Accuracy
- Package completed products accurately and efficiently according to the Bill of Material (BOM), issued work order, and applicable instructions.
- Prepare completed products for shipping according to required schedules, production requirements, and packaging standards.
- Verify the correct product, quantity, components, and labeling before completed packages move forward.
- Quality, Safety & Documentation
- Perform final visual and functional inspections to verify mounting, workmanship, torque, packaging, and labeling requirements are met.
- Identify and isolate any non-conforming product to prevent defects from moving forward.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and job safety requirements, and complete and maintain required production reports.
- Workplace Standards, Inventory Support & Team Culture
- Maintain the safety, cleanliness, and organization of the work area, tools, equipment, and packaging materials.
- Participate in cycle and physical inventory counts as required and report material discrepancies to supervision.
- Work effectively independently and within a team, remain flexible to support mounting or packaging demands, and work additional hours based on business needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervision to support operational needs.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience & Skills) - Education: High School diploma or equivalent (GED), or related experience and/or training.
- Experience: Related manufacturing, mechanical assembly, mounting, or packaging experience preferred.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read assembly drawings and Bills of Material (BOM), use a pneumatic impact, follow torque specifications, verify labels and packaging requirements, use basic measuring tools, and perform basic math using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Language Skills: Ability to read and write English and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to work safely under production deadlines, flexibility to perform both mounting and packaging operations, and capability to work independently or as part of a team.
