Moving Laborer

Job Summary

E-Logic, Inc. is seeking reliable, hardworking, and professional Moving Laborers to support residential and commercial moving projects throughout Virginia and surrounding areas. Moving Laborers will assist with packing, loading, unloading, transportation support, furniture handling, deliveries, and relocation activities while maintaining high standards of safety, professionalism, and customer service.

This position requires physical ability, teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to handle customer property with care. Candidates must demonstrate reliability, punctuality, professionalism, and a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities

Moving and Material Handling

• Safely load and unload household and commercial furniture, equipment, and other items.
• Pack, wrap, protect, and unpack customer belongings using proper handling techniques.
• Transport and position furniture and materials while preventing damage.
• Carry furniture and boxes through stairs, elevators, and other designated areas.
• Assist with furniture deliveries, relocations, and moving assignments.

Furniture Assembly and Setup

• Disassemble and reassemble furniture when required.
• Assist with staging, organization, and placement of items according to customer instructions.
• Ensure all equipment and materials are handled properly.

Customer Service and Professional Conduct

• Maintain professional and respectful communication with customers, supervisors, and coworkers.
• Provide excellent customer service while representing E-Logic, Inc.
• Handle customer property carefully and report any concerns or damages immediately.
• Follow team leader instructions and all safety procedures.

Warehouse and Operational Support

• Assist with warehouse organization, staging, loading, and preparation tasks when needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy items weighing 50 pounds or more.
• Reliable transportation to assigned job sites or designated meeting locations.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good physical condition and willingness to perform manual labor.
• Previous moving, logistics, warehouse, or labor experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to communicate respectfully and professionally with customers and coworkers.
• Must follow all safety procedures and company requirements.

Schedule

This is an on-call, project-based position. There is no guaranteed schedule or minimum number of hours. Work assignments are offered based on customer demand, and laborers are expected to be available to accept assignments with reasonable notice whenever possible.
