MRF Mechanic

MRF Maintenance Mechanic
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to support equipment within a Material Recovery Facility. This position will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a combination of electrical, mechanical, diesel, conveyor, and material-processing equipment.
Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical systems up to 480V
• Diagnose and troubleshoot Siemens PLCs and VFDs
• Diagnose electric motors, test motor connections/components, and complete repairs or replacement as needed
• Troubleshoot and repair diesel and electrically powered equipment
• Maintain and repair conveyors, belting, rollers, bearings, and related components
• Perform belt tracking, tensioning, splicing, and replacement
• Repair and replace troughing rollers, side skirting, and other conveyor components
• Troubleshoot screening and material-processing equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance and respond to equipment breakdowns
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues
• Complete repairs safely and efficiently to minimize equipment downtime

Preferred Experience

• Industrial maintenance experience in a recycling, MRF, aggregate, quarry, mining, waste, or similar heavy-equipment environment
• Strong conveyor and belting experience
• Electrical troubleshooting experience through 480V
• PLC and VFD troubleshooting experience, Siemens preferred
• Experience diagnosing and repairing electric motors
• Diesel and electrical mechanical experience
• Familiarity with screening equipment
• Experience with troughing rollers, conveyor skirting, bearings, pulleys, and related material-handling equipment

Candidates with strong industrial conveyor and electrical maintenance backgrounds are encouraged to apply even if they have not previously worked in a Material Recovery Facility.
