Job Title: MRI Technician
Location: Morristown, NJ
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift Schedule: Sunday 7am-11pm, Monday 3pm-11pm, Tuesday 3pm-11pm, Wednesday 3pm-11pm. Call and holiday included.

Pay Rate: $60/HR ON W2

Summary:
The MRI Technician is responsible for operating MRI equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients, ensuring both the safety and comfort of the patient throughout the process.

Responsibilities:

• Position patient on examining table and place specified coil (receiver) such as head coil or knee coil close to area of interest, following protocols requested by Radiologist.
• Demonstrate use of microphone that allows patient and technologist to communicate during examination.
• Enter data such as patient history, anatomical area to be scanned, orientation specified, and position of entry into aperture of MRI equipment into computer.
• Key commands to specify scan sequences and adjust transmitters and receivers into computer.
• Observe patient through window of control room and on closed circuit TV to monitor safety and comfort.
• View images of areas being scanned on video display screen to ensure quality of pictures.
• Key in data on keyboard of camera to photograph images.
• Alert staff entering magnet room to the danger of wearing or carrying metal around magnet.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

• 1-3 years’ experience as MRI Technician.
• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel.
• Ability to read and interpret documents.
• Ability to work independently.

Certifications & Licenses:

• NJ State RT license.
• ARRT (MR) certified.
• BLS AHA.
• Graduate of Accredited Radiology Program.
