Job Title: MRI Technologist
Location: NYC, NY
Duration: 2 months Contract
Schedule: 7:00am - 3:00pm, Monday – Fridays
Hourly rate: $71/ hour on W2 Negotiable
Job Responsibilities- Perform MRI imaging procedures according to established protocols.
- Position patients and MRI coils to obtain optimal diagnostic-quality images.
- Educate patients about MRI procedures and provide necessary instructions.
- Review patient safety questionnaires before entering the MRI scan room.
- Follow MRI safety protocols and prevent ferromagnetic materials from entering the scan room.
- Label images correctly and evaluate them for technical quality.
- Ensure timely transmission of images to PACS.
- Complete examinations and maintain accurate patient records in IDX (Radiology Information System).
- Schedule MRI examinations and update patient tracking information in IDX.
- Maintain cleanliness of MRI rooms and equipment and ensure proper infection control.
- Maintain adequate supplies, accessories, and linens in the imaging room.
- Identify equipment issues and report repairs or unsafe conditions.
- Assist physicians during procedures as required.
- Coordinate inpatient examinations and perform related clerical duties when needed.
- Attend required training sessions and professional development meetings.
- Maintain required licensure and comply with applicable regulations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications- Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, physical sciences, and MRI physics.
- Excellent technical skills in MRI imaging procedures.
- Ability to follow MRI safety protocols and infection control standards.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce diagnostic-quality images.
Preferred Experience- 2 years of MRI experience preferred.
Schedule- Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Days: Monday–Friday
