Health Plus Management LLC (HPM) provides management services to medical practices specializing in the area of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation & Pain Management. HPM manages 50 locations throughout Long Island, NYC including the 5 boroughs, Westchester, Upstate NY, NJ and Connecticut. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform MRI scans on patients as ordered by orthopedic physicians, ensuring accurate and high-quality imaging results.
  • Position patients correctly to obtain optimal images while ensuring comfort and safety.
  • Operate MRI equipment, adjusting settings and monitoring equipment to ensure proper functionality.
  • Prepare patients for MRI procedures, explaining the process and ensuring patient understanding and compliance.
  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines, ensuring patient safety and adhering to radiation safety protocols.
  • Assist in identifying and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions or issues.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and other team members to ensure accurate diagnosis and care.
  • Maintain and clean MRI equipment, ensuring the equipment is in excellent working condition at all times.
  • Ensure that all procedures are conducted in accordance with the American College of Radiology (ACR) accreditation standards.

Education & Training

  • Must be ACR Accredited and certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in MRI
  • Must be licensed in NYS
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or MRI Technology from an accredited program.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Strong knowledge of MRI procedures, protocols, and orthopedic anatomy.
  • Ability to operate MRI machines and related technology effectively and efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, physicians, and staff.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure high-quality imaging results.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols, including MRI safety standards, infection control, and patient confidentiality.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic computer software.
  • Previous experience in an orthopedic or musculoskeletal practice preferred.

Schedule: 3 days per week, 7:00-3:00pm

Estimated Pay: $45-$50 per hour, commensurate with experience
