Position Overview
The MRI Technologist will be responsible for performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and accurate diagnostic results. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and excellent patient care skills.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform MRI scans in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures
- Ensure patient safety by screening for contraindications and monitoring during scans
- Operate and maintain MRI equipment to ensure optimal image quality
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members to deliver accurate diagnostics
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records and imaging documentation
- Educate patients on procedures and address any concerns or questions
- Adhere to all safety standards and regulatory guidelines
Education & Certification Requirements
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
- ARRT certification in Radiography required
- ARRT (MR) certification preferred or required within a specified timeframe
- Active Kansas state licensure (if applicable)
- BLS certification required
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an MRI Technologist preferred
- Strong knowledge of MRI equipment and imaging techniques
- Excellent attention to detail and patient care skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
