    Job Description

    Seeking a full time MRI Technologist to join a great team. This is a full time/permanent opportunity.

    General Summary

    Performs routine and special magnetic resonance imaging procedures at a beginning to intermediate skills level. Performs procedures to produce MR images of designated anatomical areas according to established practices and procedures.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Performs MR imaging studies; obtains patient history; explains routine procedures and addresses patient concerns.
    • Under the direct supervision of the physician, administers intravenous contrast media. Recognizes complications (e.g., contrast reaction) and treats appropriately.
    • Performs the duties of Radiographer as needed.
    • Schedules cases to coordinate with other patient examinations.
    • Positions and transfers patients comfortably.
    • Immobilizes patients as necessary and practices radiation safety procedures.
    • Prepares and maintains written documentation as required by the profession and the department.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Education:

    • Certificate Program ARMRIT program. Required

    Work Experience:

    • 1 year Relevant experience. Required

    Licenses:

    • Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
    • Registered Technologist-Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) - ARRT within 1-1/2 years Required or
    • Certified MRI Technologist - ARMRIT within 1-1/2 years Required

    Courses and Training:

    • Accredited program in radiologic technology. Upon Hire Required
