    Overview:

    Shift: PRN.

     

    As an MRI Technologist, you will perform high-quality diagnostic MRI examinations and, based on departmental needs, diagnostic X-ray exams under the direction of a radiologist. You will play an essential role in delivering compassionate, patient-centered care while ensuring exceptional image quality and maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

    Responsibilities:
    • Completes a variety of high quality, patient-centered MRI and X-ray exams (based on department needs) on all age ranges (neonatal – elderly) and in varying locations throughout the hospital, in accordance with established policies, procedures, and standards of care.
    • Understands and follows all processes related to MRI safety
    • Demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of organ/bone/vasculature cross sectional anatomy.
    • Knowledge of utilization and insertion of proper size catheter/needle needed to deliver proper/safe volume of contrast for specific protocols.
    • Safe administration of IV contrast media.
    • Monitors patients for seizures, claustrophobia, or contrast reaction; ability to act appropriately including code situations.
    • Assists in the training and clinical instruction of students.
    Qualifications:

    Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology with equivalent training and experience as required by the licensing bodies. 

    Experience: 1 Year in Diagnostic Radiology Preferred.

     

    License(s)/Certification(s):

    • Current Radiologic Technologist certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
    • Current MRI certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) 
    • RTIA Permit to Practice 
    • Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or within 30 days from date of hire
