MRP Planner / Methodizer

Responsible fopr Methodizing sheet metal parts and assemblies etc. from drawings as well as creating and releasing work orders for use in Manufacturing. Work orders generated need to maximize equipment utilization and minimize inventory in a mixed MRP/Lean environment. Engineering masters with revision control need to be maintained in our MRP system to ensure consistency with future fabrication releases.

Minimum Background, Experience, and Requirements:

· BS in engineering or equivalent manufacturing engineering experience.

· 5+ years of experience in manufacturing company with a background in fabrication / CNC environments.

· Proficient in MRP and MS Office software suite, knowledge of VISUAL ERP software is a plus

· Knowledge of Crystal reports and database management is a plus.

· Strong organizational skills

· Good administrative, interpersonal, and communication skills.

· Ability to work as an individual contributor and a team player.

· Reliable, good work ethic, high integrity, and drug free

Tasks / Responsibilities:

· Methodize sheet metal parts and assemblies to drawings

· Maintain Engineering masters in the MRP system

· Release work orders to MRP forecasted demand and choose work centers that have available capacity

· Optimize cost effectiveness of manufacturing methods

· Understand scheduling and balanced work center loading

· Interface with CNC Programmers for new parts and optimized material utilization
