Merit Technologies is seeking a skilled and motivated IT Systems Engineer II to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT infrastructure, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for providing exceptional service to our clients. Individuals in this position are required to provide proactive, remote and onsite engineering support to clients as needed. Merit Technologies is a Managed Service Provider located in Greenville, SC. We support a wide variety of technologies and organizations. Since 2009, we have worked hard to provide efficient, productive, and profitable IT solutions for businesses to help them be more efficient. Requirements
- Local residence in the Greenville-Spartanburg-Anderson, South Carolina geographical region.
- Provide technical support on-site, and/or remotely via phone and/or email to the Merit client base.
- Design, implement, and manage IT infrastructure solutions for clients.
- Troubleshooting a variety of computer/server/network issues in a timely manner.
- Maintaining, repairing, moving, or carrying computer equipment.
- Configuring computer networks all while adhering to all company standards and policies.
- An experienced professional with a full understanding of Information Technology.
- Well-developed troubleshooting skills and tested methodologies.
- Experienced in analyzing complex issues, distilling and communicating their relevant aspects.
- Maintain and update documentation for systems and processes.
- Ability and desire to be part of a team.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.
- Flexibility with a positive attitude.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and experience.
- Sound time management and task management.
- Knowledge of Office 365 including Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
- Knowledge of Apple Mac Operating Systems and management.
- Knowledge of Windows 10/11 Operating System and management.
- This position does require local travel in the Greenville-Spartanburg-Anderson metropolitan area.
Education and Experience
- Experience: 3-5+ yrs in the IT field required, MSP experience a plus
- Language: English. Spanish is a plus.
- Education Level: Bachelor's Degree Preferred
- Field of Study: Engineering or related field.
- A combination of education and experience is acceptable: Yes
- Attention to detail with good organizational capabilities.
- Ability to prioritize with good time management skills.
