40 hours/week, 2 Month Assignment (Possibility of extension)
A leading medical institution is seeking an MSPRC Medical Staff Coordinator to manage committee operations, support case review activities, ensure accurate documentation, and facilitate communication with providers.
MSPRC Medical Staff Coordinator Responsibilities:
Support select Medical Staff Office (MSO) functions, including committee coordination, credentialing data entry, and special projects.
Prepare, distribute, and track meeting invitations and agendas for MSPRC meetings, and compile and circulate pre-MSPRC case materials for committee members.
Maintain accurate case tracking logs and monitor case status updates.
Monitor and respond to MSPRC-related emails to ensure timely action.
Generate and submit a monthly data report to the Medical Executive Committee (MEC).
Accept and log referrals from departments, staff, and physicians into the RL data system.
Triage and manage case referrals, adding reviewer comments and categorizing appropriately.
Draft, proofread, and issue correspondence to providers regarding case outcomes or follow-up actions.
Summarize case details to determine whether cases should advance to MSPRC, be redirected, or tracked for trend analysis.
Compile and prepare final case packets for MSPRC meeting review.
Extract case data and supporting information from the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
Support the transition of current systems (ATLAS, MIDAS, IRIS) to the new RL system, ensuring data integrity and user readiness.
MSPRC Medical Staff Coordinator Qualifications:
1+ year of experience supporting clinical committees.
Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experience/training.
An associate's or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or Nursing is preferred.
Experience managing physician communication, minutes, agendas, and confidential case packets
Administrative support in a clinical or hospital environment.
Familiarity with case review processes and quality improvement activities.
Familiarity with RL system, APeX EMR, and quality/risk management systems is preferred.
Background in quality and experience working in community hospital settings
Peer Review coordination
Medical Staff Office (MSO) committee support
RLDatix (RL), MIDAS, ATLAS, IRIS, or an EMR such as Epic/APeX.
Shift:
Mondays to Fridays, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
