SUMMARY: The Multi-Site Facilities and Vehicle Assistant is an essential role at New Horizons, responsible for providing custodial and general facilities support across multiple agency locations, including Glendale, Thousand Oaks, and any additional assigned sites. This position ensures that all facilities are maintained in a clean, safe, and organized condition through routine cleaning, ongoing monitoring of site conditions, and timely reporting of maintenance or safety concerns. Multi-Site Facilities and Vehicle Assistant supports daily workplace operations, assists with events and site setup, and contributes to a positive and professional environment for staff, members, and visitors. This role works closely with the Business Operations team and may provide support to other facilities staff as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Facilities Operations & Custodial Support
or Facilities Custodial Coordinator.
Vehicle Operations & Maintenance
1. Assists with scheduled routine maintenance and coordinates repairs.
2. Supports driver access administration, including creating and deactivating accounts and maintaining key systems.
3. Supports driver training and certification activities, including Safe Driver instruction and retraining as needed.
4. Assists with monitoring vehicle cameras, GPS, and inspection systems (e.g., WhipAround) to help maintain compliance and safety standards.
5. Coordinates routine maintenance and repair scheduling.
6. Reviews driver inspections to help ensure safe vehicle operation.
7. Maintains required vehicle safety equipment and documentation.
8. Oversees vehicle cleaning, inspections, and condition reporting.
9. Serves as back-up to the Business Fleet Manager as needed.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: May provide direction to Team Members and volunteers in completing tasks. May also provide direction to other members of the department team as directed by the Business Fleet and Facilities Manager.

Must have knowledge and successful experience in the custodial field.
Must have the ability to be highly flexible, meeting the changing needs of the campus, housing facilities, and the agency on a daily basis.
Must be skilled in using Word, Outlook, and Excel to complete job tasks. Have ability to become proficient in Angus and document work orders on a timely and professional basis. professional basis.
Must be flexible to meet the needs of unexpected assignments and to work evening and weekend hours as needed.
Thorough knowledge of the qualities, adaptabilities, and uses of common tools, equipment, and materials used in cleaning and maintenance activities.
Ability to operate and use tools and equipment of the janitorial service.
Access to a vehicle, proof of vehicular insurance, a valid California Driver’s License, and a driving record acceptable to the agency’s insurance carrier are required. Willing to drive company vehicles.

6. Familiarity with basic vehicle operations, inspections, tracking systems, and driver support processes, including compliance monitoring tools and documentation requirements.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, speak, write and comprehend in English. Ability to effectively present information in English in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, Members, and other employees of the organization.
