Multifamily Construction Superintendent
Our client is a full-service general contractor with a growing presence in the multifamily construction market. The organization self-performs site work and is actively expanding its portfolio of larger, multi-million-dollar residential and site development projects, with multiple ground-up multifamily developments preparing to move into active construction.
Job Description
Lead on-site construction activities for ground-up multifamily developments. Manage project execution from site preparation through vertical construction and final completion. Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel to maintain schedule, quality, and safety standards. Oversee multiple active projects simultaneously while ensuring operational efficiency. Collaborate with project management teams to drive successful project delivery. Mentor, train, and develop junior field staff and assistant superintendents. Monitor project progress and proactively resolve field challenges. Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes, safety requirements, and company standards.

The Successful Applicant
A successful Building and Construction Multifamily Construction Superintendent in Rochester, NY should have: Experience overseeing day-to-day construction site activity. Proven success leading multifamily construction projects from the ground up. Experience delivering projects of approximately 100+ units. Demonstrated history of completing multiple multifamily projects within the past 18 to 24 months. Strong leadership and team-development capabilities. Stable employment history with long-term tenure in superintendent roles. Ability to thrive in a fast-growing organization with expanding project volume.
Required Skills and Experience: Multifamily construction superintendent experience. Ground-up construction experience, including vertical building construction. Successfully completed at least two multifamily projects in the past 18-24 months. Experience coordinating and leading field operations on large-scale residential developments. Ability to manage more than two projects simultaneously. Strong scheduling, subcontractor management, and project coordination skills. Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Experience mentoring and developing junior construction professionals.
