You’ll operate a CDL‑B waste collection truck with care and precision, navigating residential streets and commercial sites. You greet customers, handle loading as needed, and keep detailed notes on your route. When your shift winds down, you complete a post-trip inspection, log your collections and any incidents, and finish strong with a safety-first mindset.

Core responsibilities

• Operate a CDL‑B waste collection vehicle safely and efficiently throughout assigned routes.
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle readiness and compliance.
• Collect and transport waste from residential and commercial locations.
• Follow all local, state, and federal regulations governing waste handling and disposal.
• Maintain accurate route, collection, and incident records.
• Deliver courteous, professional customer service in every interaction.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials when needed.
• Participate in ongoing training and safety meetings to sharpen skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL‑B with a clean driving record.
• Experience with heavy vehicles or waste collection preferred.
• Solid grasp of safety rules and best practices.
• Self-starter who collaborates well with a team.
• Clear communicator with strong customer service abilities.
• Able to lift heavy materials and work in all weather conditions.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Proficiencies

• DOT Medical Card
• OSHA 10‑Hour Certification (OSHA 10)
• Current CDL License
