Musical Director

FENTON COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT 100 JOB DESCRIPTION TITLE: SPRING MUSICAL VOCAL DIRECTOR REPORTS TO: ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL OF STUDENT LIFE & OPERATIONS / DIVISION LEADER OF FINE ARTS BASIC FUNCTION: ASSIST WITH SELECTION, COACH, AND REHEARSE THE VOCALISTS IN THE SPRING MUSICAL The Spring Musical Vocal Director shall be responsible for the following duties, including, but not limited to: ASSIGNED RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Work in cooperation with the play director, band director, and the Assistant Principal of Student Life and Operations in the selection of the Spring Musical Play
2. Assist in the selection of vocal performers
3. Coordinate and schedule rehearsals with the spring musical theater director and instrumental director
4. Must be present at all scheduled spring musical vocal rehearsals
5. Must be present at all performances of the spring musical
6. Maintain and secure piano and risers. Arrange for tuning through Division Leader
7. Secure and care for the auditorium when used
8. Supervise and secure the choral room and storage area. Report any damage to the Division Leader
