Narrow‑Web Slitter/Rewinder Technician

Join a high‑velocity converting team turning printed rolls into precise, customer‑ready label and packaging products. You’ll run modern slitting equipment, uphold exacting quality standards, and keep production moving safely and efficiently—all while growing your craft in web handling.

Day in the Life

• Kick off at 6:00 AM with work orders, specs, and a safety check.
• Stage materials, set up knives/shafts/cores, thread web, and dial in tensions.
• Run production: monitor slit width, roll density, edge quality, and registration—adjust as needed.
• Support adjacent converting steps such as laminating and coating when scheduled.
• Inspect output against customer requirements; document counts, waste, and lot traceability.
• Troubleshoot minor issues, escalate maintenance concerns, and keep your cell clean and organized.
• Wrap by noon on Fridays with accurate paperwork and a tidy work area.

Role Snapshot

• Set up and operate slitting equipment for labels and packaging.
• Assist with laminating, coating, and other converting workflows as needed.
• Load/unload rolls, prepare machines, and manage material flow for efficient runs.
• Read and follow work orders, production plans, and SOPs.
• Complete production records and material tracking with precision.
• Maintain a safe, orderly workspace and comply with quality standards.

What You Bring

Required

• Hands‑on machine operation experience in manufacturing.
• Mechanical aptitude with a willingness to master new equipment.
• Sharp attention to detail and a quality‑first mindset.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Comfort reading and following written instructions.
• Consistent attendance and a strong work ethic.

Preferred

• Background operating slitters or rewinder equipment.
• Familiarity with laminating, coating, or similar converting processes.
• Experience with web handling systems.
• Exposure to printing, converting, packaging, or label manufacturing.
• Basic machine setup and troubleshooting experience.

Training is available for candidates with related machine experience and strong mechanical skills.

Schedule, Pay, and Location

• Job Type: Full‑Time | Temp‑to‑Hire
• Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–3:00 PM; Friday, 6:00 AM–12:00 PM
• Location: Roseville, MN
• Pay: $24.00–$28.00 per hour, depending on experience
