POSITION OVERVIEW
As a NC/CNC Machine Set-Up & Operate - 1st Shiftyour roles and responsibilities will include:
- Set up and operate a variety of NC/CNC and manual machine shop equipment.
- Perform machining operations on lathes, milling machines, grinders, drill presses, and other equipment.
- Select appropriate tooling, feeds, and speeds based on material and finish requirements.
- Machine steel, iron, brass, bronze, and aluminum components.
- Read blueprints, determine machining sequences, and hold close tolerances.
- Build and assemble jigs and fixtures.
- Inspect finished parts for quality and dimensional accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S standards.
- Shift: 1st Shift (6:30 AM 2:30 PM)
QUALIFICATIONS
Most importantly, you need to be a passionate
NC/CNC Machine Set-Up & Operate - 1st Shift who enjoys his work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization. The ideal
NC/CNC Machine Set-Up & Operate - 1st Shift would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:
High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 2 years of NC/CNC machine setup and operation experience.
- Experience operating manual and CNC machine shop equipment.
- Ability to work with precision measurements and close tolerances.
- Must live within 50 miles of Syracuse, NY (Active-Duty Military exempt).
- No visa sponsorship available.
Preferred Skills- Blueprint reading.
- GD&T and precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
- Experience with machining fixtures and tooling.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Compensation: Based on Experience. One of the best in the industry
Minimum Education: High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate.
Minimum Experience: Minimum two (2) years previous work experience in NC/CNC setup and operation
