NC Operator

Summary:

The primary function of the NC Operator is to machine propellers to customer requirements and meet quality and productivity standards.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Read and follow the details on shop orders or routers
• Enter correct information in the machine computer
• Must be able to assess and utilize the correct equipment to create a part
• Maintain proper housekeeping in and around assigned machine
• Convey materials to proper department or areas using a hoist, hand truck or cart
• Stay on task and hit their production goals each day
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Must be able to understand quality standards and reporting. .

Skills:

• Ability to load and unload parts into machines and operate machines
• Blueprint reading
• Need to be able to use measuring equipment

Requirements:

• Prior CNC machining experience
• Excellent math skills

Physical Demands:

• Stand at work station
• Operate machining equipment
• Operate hand truck or cart
• Push/pull/lift up to 75 pounds

Work environment:

Employees move around the plant by walking, or driving. There are times when the environment is hot or cold (depending on the season) due to overhead door being open. Must wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment: Safety Glasses with side shields, hearing protection and steel-toed work shoes required.
