    A Snapshot of Your Day (position overview)

    As an NDE Technical Training Specialist based in Mount Pleasant, PA, you will lead the development and delivery of technical training programs supporting Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) services. Your day will include designing training curriculum, conducting hands-on and classroom instruction, and mentoring technicians to ensure workforce readiness. You will collaborate closely with PSC facility managers and leadership to define training needs and continuously improve training infrastructure. This role also supports field execution during peak outage periods, providing advanced NDE expertise and troubleshooting support.

    How You'll Make an Impact (responsibilities)

    • Develop and maintain NDE training programs and curriculum for UT, ET, MT, and PT methods specific to Siemens Energy components
    • Deliver classroom, virtual, and hands-on technical training to NDE technicians and engineers, including competency assessments and certification support
    • Serve as the subject matter expert for NDE training standards, procedures, and best practices
    • Partner with management and PSC facility teams to identify training needs and enhance training facilities and resources
    • Provide field support during outages, including advanced NDE inspections, data analysis, and troubleshooting
    • Prepare and review technical inspection reports and ensure compliance with quality and operational standards

    What You Bring (requirements)

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or related technical field (or equivalent experience)
    • 5-8+ years of experience in Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) in power generation or heavy industrial environments
    • Demonstrated experience in technical training, curriculum development, or mentoring roles
    • Strong expertise in NDT methods (UT, ET, MT, PT) and generator systems
    • Effective communication, coaching, and instructional design skills
    • ASNT Level III certification preferred

    Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
