General Tool Company (GTC) is offering a SkillBridge internship in Nondestructive Testing (NDT) for transitioning service members at any certification stage — Level I, Level II, or Level III — including those still accruing hours toward their next certification. This hands-on program gives participants real-world experience in aerospace and DoD-grade NDT inspection while working alongside GTC's certified inspection team, with a clear pathway toward advancing certifications and a potential civilian career in aviation quality and inspection.

What You'll Do
Gain supervised, on-the-job experience in one or more NDT methods: liquid penetrant inspection, magnetic particle inspection, ultrasonic inspection, and/or radiography
Work toward accruing certification hours under GTC's NDT program, structured to NAS410 and SNT-TC-1A standards
Support inspection operations on aerospace and DoD hardware within a NADCAP-accredited quality system
Learn GTC's written NDT procedures, inspection techniques, and documentation practices
Participate in training sessions led by GTC's Level III inspectors and quality leadership
Observe audit support, calibration processes, and manufacturing routing reviews to understand the full NDT program lifecycle
Build toward advancement from your current certification level (I, II, or III) with mentorship from experienced NDT staff
Who We're Looking For
Active-duty service members with approved eligibility for the DoD SkillBridge program (90–120 day internship window)
Current NDT certification at Level I, Level II, or Level III, in any method (PT, MT, UT, RT, or VT)
Actively accruing or seeking to accrue hours toward the next certification level
Strong attention to detail, documentation discipline, and willingness to learn within a regulated quality environment
Comfortable in a manufacturing environment; familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel a plus
