Our client, a healthcare technology company, is hiring a Network Administrator to manage and maintain network infrastructure across multiple facility locations. This role is responsible for ensuring network reliability, security, and performance for an organization supporting time-sensitive healthcare operations.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with enterprise networking equipment, firewall management, and troubleshooting complex connectivity issues. This position works closely with the broader IT team to support ongoing infrastructure upgrades and security initiatives.
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Hackensack, New Jersey, offering the opportunity to work with a modern network environment supporting a growing regional organization.
Responsibilities
Monitor and maintain LAN, WAN, and wireless network infrastructure
Configure and manage routers, switches, and firewalls
Troubleshoot network outages and performance issues
Implement network security protocols and access controls
Maintain documentation of network architecture and configurations
Collaborate with IT staff on infrastructure upgrade projects
Perform regular backups and disaster recovery testing
Support VPN and remote access systems for staff
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field preferred
4 or more years of network administration experience
Working knowledge of Cisco and Juniper networking equipment
Experience with firewall configuration and network security practices
Familiarity with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies
CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA certification preferred
Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills
Ability to work on-site and respond to after-hours issues as needed
