Day to day, you will monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and keep servers, switches, and firewalls running smoothly, often juggling a few priorities at once. The role suits someone who is calm under pressure during an outage, enjoys documenting systems so others can follow along, and takes pride in building a stable, secure network that the rest of the business can depend on.

  • Implement and maintain network security protocols and access controls
  • Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery testing
  • Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides
  • Support onboarding and offboarding of employees from a network access perspective
  • Collaborate with IT staff and vendors on infrastructure upgrades and projects
  • Respond to and resolve help desk tickets related to network connectivity

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience
  • Five or more years of experience administering enterprise network environments
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, and switching
  • Experience with Cisco or similar networking hardware
  • Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization platforms
  • Familiarity with network security best practices and firewall management
  • CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA certification preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical staff

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401k with employer match
  • Paid time off and paid holidays
  • Hybrid work schedule
  • Life and disability insurance
  • Professional development and certification reimbursement
