TITLE: Network Administrator V-99-33
QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate degree or Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, information technology, electronic engineering, computer engineering, or a related field, or a combination of education, certifications, and equivalent work experience.
Two years of experience with networking concepts including TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, wireless networking, switches, routers, and network troubleshooting.
Two years of experience with Windows Server administration, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, or related infrastructure services.
Two years of experience with virtualization concepts such as VMware, Hyper-V, or similar platforms.
Two years of experience installing, configuring, and supporting Windows computers, Apple computers, iPads, printers, and other endpoint devices.
Experience with educational technology platforms such as PowerSchool, ClassLink, Clever, OneRoster synchronization, rostering systems, or other student and staff identity management platforms is desirable.
Two years of experience with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or similar cloud productivity platforms.
Two years of experience supporting mobile device management (MDM) platforms such as Jamf Pro, Microsoft Intune, or similar endpoint management solutions.
Two years of experience installing, configuring, maintaining, troubleshooting, and updating Voice over IP (VoIP) and telecommunications infrastructure, including Mitel systems, servers, phones, voicemail, user provisioning, software updates, and related equipment.
Two years of experience to identity and access management concepts including Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, single sign-on (SSO), multifactor authentication (MFA), and user account administration.
Experience applying cybersecurity principles, including endpoint protection, password security, web filtering, phishing awareness, and secure computing practices.
Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and user support issues while following established procedures.
Ability to prioritize work, manage multiple assignments, and complete tasks in a timely manner.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with students, staff, vendors, and coworkers, both orally and in writing.
Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to changing technology environments.
Ability to meet the physical requirements necessary to safely perform assigned duties, including lifting computer equipment and traveling between district sites.
Highly desirable: Industry certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCNA, Microsoft, Jamf, or other relevant technology certifications.
Must have a valid driver's license.
REPORTS TO: Director of Instructional Technology & Information Services
JOB GOAL: To assist in the operation, maintenance, and support of the District's technology infrastructure and information systems while providing reliable technical support to students and staff under the direction of senior technology personnel.
