Seeking a skilled System Administrator with strong experience in Microsoft Hyper-V, Windows Server, and enterprise networking. This role supports day-to-day operations, infrastructure stability, and ongoing improvements across virtualized and physical environments.
Key Responsibilities
Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot Hyper-V hosts, virtual machines, clustering, and storage.
Administer Windows Server environments, including AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and file services.
Monitor and optimize network performance, including switches, firewalls, VLANs, routing, and VPNs.
Perform system updates, patching, backups, and disaster-recovery tasks.
Implement security best practices and assist with compliance requirements.
Provide Tier 2/3 support for server, network, and virtualization issues.
Document configurations, procedures, and changes.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Hands-on experience with Hyper-V (VM creation, replication, failover clustering).
Strong understanding of TCP/IP, subnets, routing, VLANs, and firewall concepts.
Proficiency with Windows Server administration.
Familiarity with PowerShell for automation is a plus.
Ability to diagnose complex issues and work independently.
Minimum Qualifications
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in computer science, management information systems, or certain other information technology-based fields of study and two years of relevant information technology experience.
Relevant information technology experience and training may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the four years of college education.
