Network Engineer III

• Designing, sustaining, troubleshooting, and supporting Navy network devices and appliances
• Supporting current baselines and while driving new requirements for modernization, upgrades, and changes required for coalition networks
• Designing, deploying, administering, and maintaining enterprise networks, including servers, routers, switches, VPN appliances, firewalls, storage networks, remote access systems, and network management systems
• Monitoring network connectivity and ensuring high-quality data transmission
• Resolving complex interoperability problems to obtain operations across all platforms
• Configuring communication media with routers, switches, firewalls and other devices

• Three or more years of experience with network design and implementation of any of the following: Cisco, Juniper, or Brocade technologies
• Ability to configure firewalls, routing, switching, load balancing, storage IP services, DNS, etc.
• Ability to analyze, design, and test network systems including both local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN)
• Thorough understanding of Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), Internet Protocol Security (IPSec), Virtual Private Network (VPN), HTTP, Secure Socket Shell (SSH), SSL, and DNS
• Active Secret clearance (or higher)
• CompTIA Security+ certification (or other CSWF-qualifying certification)

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent education or work experience
• Direct experience with the following:
  • Navy Networks
  • Tactical Networks
  • Juniper SSGs
  • Cisco ASRs, switches and routers, VPN
  • Network Management System (NMS)
  • Crypto equipment, TACLANES
• Advanced certifications, such as:
  • Cisco: CCNA, CCNP, or similar

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL

• 10-15% (quarterly OCONUS travel)
