What You'll Do:

In this role, you'll apply your deep knowledge of network performance to guide Teradata solutions on suitable network infrastructures. You'll collaborate with engineering teams to enhance application designs, advocate for quality application design, and monitor network performance across diverse deployment models. Your strong analytical troubleshooting skills will help identify network issues and optimization opportunities, while your collaborative spirit will drive issue resolution and collective success.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

• Guide Teradata solutions on suitable network infrastructures.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve application designs.
• Advocate for performance and reliability improvements.
• Monitor and measure network performance across systems.
• Identify and resolve network issues and optimization opportunities.
• Develop models to predict system behavior based on configuration changes.
• Provide remote engineering support for product development and customer services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive issue resolution.

Who You'll Work With:

You'll join a dedicated team responsible for evaluating, designing, manufacturing, and supporting on-premises systems. This close-knit team is committed to the success of scalable enterprise analytics platforms, reporting to the Platform Infrastructure Engineering organization.

Requirements:

• US Permanent Residence
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline with 10 years of related work experience, or a Master's/PhD with 7 years of experience.
• Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, Spanning Tree, EVPN, VRF, QoS, etc.
• Experience troubleshooting LAN, WAN, and packet analysis issues.
• Familiarity with LINUX internals/administration.
• Experience with routers/switches/LB/Firewalls on cloud and on-prem platforms.
• Experience with HPC networking and network configuration automation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferences:

• Experience with computer system components like processor, memory, storage, and adapters.
• Knowledge of high-speed networking and high-performance storage.
• Strong attention to detail for maintaining accurate product documentation.
• Exceptional creative, analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
