Network Engineer (VMWare Solutions) (Hybrid)

We're hiring a Network Engineer (VMware Solutions) to join our team in Columbia, SC. This role offers a hybrid schedule, with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote per week.

Skills & Qualifications:

• 13 years of experience in IT
• 8 years of experience with:
  • Enterprise environments with known issues on both the SAN and VMware Front
  • VMware ESX Administration
• 3 years of State or Federal government experience
• Capacity planning based on technical analysis and research experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Design documentation will need to be produced documenting final deployment details
• Troubleshoot and recommend technical solutions
• Develop workaround solutions as appropriate
• Perform equipment and software upgrades
• Install, configure, test, monitor, and maintain system and application hardware and software
• Diagnose and resolve problems related to hardware and software; and escalate complex issues to other groups or vendors for resolution

Education/Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in information technology systems, computer science, or related field
• VCP certification required, 5 years of equivalent experience in VMware

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate for this position will have extensive experience in IT, particularly with VMware and enterprise environments. They should possess a VCP certification and have a strong background in VMware ESX administration. 

The salary range for this position is $140,000 - $155,000.
