Description

Job Title: Network Installation Technician Position Details
  • Location: Los Angeles
  • Work Time: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM PST
  • Contract Duration: 9–12 Months
  • Minimum Relevant Experience: 3 Years
Job Description
Required Experience
  1. Proposed candidate shall have 3 years of experience installing and configuring low voltage IT systems.
  2. Experience in the following areas is preferred:
  • Genetec Omnicast Certification
  • Genetec Synergis Certification
  • BICSI RCDD Certification
  1. At least 1 year of experience in the following technologies:
  • Genetec Security Center 5.11 or newer
  • Cisco or HP Enterprise Network Configuration
  • Cisco and Aruba Local Wireless Controller
  • Cisco VoIP and CUCM
  • Valcom IP Public Address
  • DMP (Digital Monitoring Products)
  1. Good verbal and written communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
  • Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting:
    • Local Area Networks (LAN)
    • Wireless networks
    • VoIP systems
    • IP Public Address / Intercom systems
    • IP Video Camera systems
  • Configuring a variety of networking equipment.
  • Analyzing and solving networking problems.
  • Reviewing and evaluating IT system designs for compliance with industry standards.
  • Conducting site surveys and on-site assessments.
  • Preparing design / Scope of Work (SOW) for installations.
  • Preparing clear and concise reports and technical documentation.
  • Formulating and expressing ideas clearly and effectively in writing and verbally.
  • Setting priorities and completing tasks within defined timelines.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Conduct site surveys
  • Develop Scopes of Work
  • Create Bill of Materials
  • Accept equipment deliveries at warehouse
  • Create asset workbooks
  • Generate status completion emails
  • Rearrange network equipment
  • Install power equipment (UPS / Stepdown Transformers)
  • Install and configure:
    • Network switches
    • Modules
    • Cards
  • Install and configure IP converged system equipment
  • Install Cat6e / Fiber patch cords
  • Troubleshoot LAN equipment

Flexible work from home options available.

Compensation: $30.00 per hour
