Job Summary

Innova Software Services Inc. is seeking an experienced Network Provisioning Engineer to support large-scale data center network deployments, provisioning, activation, and operational readiness.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with enterprise or hyperscale network infrastructure, routing and switching protocols, network device provisioning, and troubleshooting.

This role requires practical knowledge of Juniper, Arista, or Cisco networking platforms and an understanding of modern data center network architectures.

Key Responsibilities

Network Provisioning and Deployment

• Provision and configure network infrastructure, including fabric switches, backbone routers, and out-of-band management devices.

• Execute standardized network provisioning workflows for new rack and infrastructure deployments.

• Configure network parameters using approved provisioning tools and procedures.

• Support high-density compute and AI infrastructure network deployments.

• Provision network circuits for backbone, peering, and internal data center connectivity.

• Support network software upgrades and maintenance activities.

• Assist with Passive Optical Network (PON) and Optical Line Terminal (OLT) provisioning.

Network Activation and Production Readiness

• Transition network equipment from provisioning to production activation.

• Execute approved network activation and traffic restoration procedures.

• Validate logical network configurations and physical installation readiness.

• Complete deployment readiness checks and operational handoffs.

• Coordinate with Network Operations and field engineering teams.

• Support phased network activation during large-scale deployments.

Network Troubleshooting and Quality Assurance

• Perform network connectivity testing and performance validation.

• Troubleshoot router and switch uplink failures.

• Diagnose provisioning errors and circuit connectivity problems.

• Coordinate circuit loopback testing with field technicians.

• Identify configuration inconsistencies and infrastructure discrepancies.

• Document technical issues and escalate complex deployment blockers.

Documentation and Operational Support

• Maintain network deployment documentation and operational runbooks.

• Update network configuration and equipment records.

• Track provisioning activities using ticketing and network management systems.

• Support deployment progress reporting.

• Participate in post-deployment audits and remediation activities.

Required Technical Skills

Routing and Switching

• Strong understanding of BGP, IS-IS, and MPLS.

• Experience troubleshooting enterprise or data center network infrastructure.

Network Platforms

• Hands-on experience with at least one of:

  • Juniper JunOS

  • Arista EOS

  • Cisco IOS-XR

Data Center Networking

• Understanding of Clos and spine-leaf network architectures.

• Experience with network fabrics and Top-of-Rack switching.

• Knowledge of large-scale network deployments.

Optical Networking

• Familiarity with DWDM and high-speed optical networking.

• Understanding of 800G optics and transponder provisioning.

Automation and Tools

• Familiarity with Python-based network automation.

• Experience with network management and ticketing platforms.

• Ability to maintain accurate technical documentation.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience in network engineering, network operations, or data center deployment.

• Hands-on experience provisioning and troubleshooting network devices.

• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise or hyperscale networking environments.

• Familiarity with deployments involving 100 or more network devices.

• Understanding of data center physical infrastructure, including power and cooling considerations.

• Strong communication, documentation, and troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaborate with field technicians and engineering teams.

• CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, or JNCIS certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with hyperscale data center environments.

• Familiarity with FBOSS networking platforms.

• Experience with Ciena or Infinera optical systems.

• BICSI certification or equivalent relevant training.

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.

• Familiarity with DCIM tools and network management dashboards.

• Experience supporting high-density compute infrastructure.

Work Schedule

This position is fully onsite in New Albany, Ohio.

The operation provides 24/7 coverage across three shifts:

• Day: 7:00 AM 3:00 PM ET

• Swing: 3:00 PM 11:00 PM ET

• Overnight: 11:00 PM 7:00 AM ET

Schedule: Five working days and two days off, approximately 40 hours per week.

Shift differentials may apply according to applicable employment terms.
