Our client is a trusted Prime Contractor to the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), serving top companies across the automotive, aerospace, and defense industries. They are looking for an energetic Network SME Level III / Senior Systems Administrator to join their IT team in Fairborn, OH.
This role owns the day-to-day health, security, and compliance of the company's backend infrastructure, supporting a CMMC Level 2-compliant environment and the policies, procedures, and training required to maintain Facility Clearance requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide fully configured company laptops to employees, 1099s, and vendors as required.
- Help ensure the backend infrastructure stays CMMC Level 2 compliant.
- Help keep company policies, procedures, and training complete and accurate to support Facility Clearance requirements.
- Maintain computer networks and systems, including software, mainframes, VPNs, routers, and other physical hardware.
- Install and configure network equipment to update or fix hardware or software issues.
- Update virus protection software to keep data and communications protected.
- Monitor computer systems to improve network performance across systems and networks.
- Communicate upcoming network outages or networking issues to employees and management, including training new users.
- Fix software and hardware configuration issues for users on demand or from system inspection.
- Solve problems in stressful situations, including working extra hours until an issue is resolved.
- Work with software and hardware providers on purchases, renewals, and compliance.
- Explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft GCC High, OneDrive, Zscaler, Adobe PDF, Microsoft Sentinel, and remote troubleshooting platforms.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Government and AWS GovCloud environments and services.
- Microsoft Certification (MCSE) or equivalent desired.
- LAN routing and switching design, configuration, and troubleshooting experience.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate or Professional (CCNA/CCNP), MCITP Server.
- CompTIA certification strongly desired.
- Microsoft IIS administration and configuration experience.
- Ability to troubleshoot network issues, including backbone infrastructure.
- Strong communication, documentation, attention to detail, and time management skills.
