Network Systems AnalystFusion HCR is recruiting a Network Systems Analyst for a client seeking someone who can keep its network infrastructure running smoothly across multiple locations. This role combines hands-on network support, troubleshooting, telecommunications administration, and participation in technology improvement initiatives.
The right candidate will be comfortable working with Cisco and Fortinet equipment, identifying and resolving network issues, and coordinating with technical teams and outside providers. This position is a good fit for someone who enjoys solving problems, takes ownership of technical issues, and can balance daily support needs with longer-term network projects.
What You'll Do- Keep network systems running efficiently by identifying performance concerns, troubleshooting outages, and resolving connectivity issues.
- Configure, support, and maintain network hardware, including Cisco and Fortinet routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless equipment.
- Work with LAN, WAN, VPN, and SD-WAN environments to maintain connectivity between offices and remote users.
- Investigate network and telecommunications problems, determine the cause, and implement appropriate solutions.
- Coordinate with internet and telecommunications providers on circuit installations, service changes, outages, and escalated issues.
- Assist with network enhancements, hardware replacements, system upgrades, and technology rollouts.
- Review network activity and help maintain appropriate security configurations and access controls.
- Keep technical records current, including network layouts, equipment inventories, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Handle escalated network support requests and work alongside other IT teams to resolve more complex technical issues.
- Support business phone systems and other communication technologies.
- Assist with planned maintenance outside normal business hours and participate in an on-call rotation when needed.
What We're Looking For- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in network administration, infrastructure support, or a similar technical role.
- Practical experience working with Cisco and Fortinet networking solutions.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, and VPN connectivity.
- Experience supporting wired and wireless networks in a business environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot network hardware, connectivity problems, and telecommunications services.
- Familiarity with tools used to monitor network health, diagnose issues, and track system performance.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify problems and follow them through resolution.
- Comfortable communicating with technical teams, business users, and external service providers.
- Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field or comparable professional experience.
Additional Experience We'd Like to See- Background supporting network operations across multiple facilities or geographically dispersed offices.
- Experience working with SD-WAN solutions.
- Knowledge of telecommunications billing, carrier management, or telecom expense tracking systems.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Teams Phone or other enterprise voice platforms.
- Networking certifications such as Cisco, Fortinet, or CompTIA Network+.
