    Overview

    St. Mary’s Healthcare is seeking a BC/BE Neurologist to join our expanding neurology program in Amsterdam, NY. This is an exciting opportunity to build a thriving practice with access to state-of-the-art diagnostic technology and a large primary care referral base.     Responsibilities:

    • Diagnose and treat a variety of neurological conditions, including stroke, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, and migraines.
    • Perform and interpret EEGs, EMGs, and nerve conduction studies.
    • Collaborate with primary care providers and specialists to deliver integrated neurological care.
    • Provide both outpatient and inpatient consultations as needed.
    • Educate patients and families on neurological disorders, treatment plans, and preventative care.
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical program development.

    Qualifications:

    Required Credentials - Board Certified/Board Eligible Physician licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the State of New York

    Preferred Experience - Fellowship training or interest in stroke, epilepsy, movement disorders, headache medicine, or neuromuscular diseases is preferred but not required.

    Education - Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited institution

    Skills - Strong clinical, diagnostic, and patient-centered communication skills

    Compensation & Benefits:

    • Base Salary Range - $375K - $400K (commensurate with experience).
    • Competitive compensation package, including base salary + sign-on bonus & semiannual bonuses for productivity and patient satisfaction

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered neurological care.

    Adherence to Standard Precautions and utilization of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) are mandatory to ensure the safety of both patients and staff.
