Neurologist

Job Description

 

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a civilian Neurologist at Harry S Truman Memorial Veteran's Hospital (HSTVAMC) in Columbia, MO.

 

Details:

• Full-time position
• Monday - Friday 0730 - 1630
• On-call required 
• Freedom from Malpractice Insurance Worries
• Outpatient environment with consultation for inpatient services and stroke coverage when on-call

Requirements: 

• Minimum of 2 years' of neurologic clinical experience required
• BLS required
• Board certification or Board eligible through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) or Americal Osteopathic Board of Neurolofy and Psychiatry.
• Current, full Unrestricted Medical License to practice in any of the 50 states, territory, or commonwealth of the United States or the DIstrict of Columbia.

Responsibilities:

• Examine, diagnose, and treat diseases and disorders of the nervous system.
• Provide immediate evaluation and management of emergency problems as they occur.
• Capable of performing lumbar punctures, interpreting nerve conduction studies and electromyography.
• Perform evoked potentials and electroencephalograms.
• Capable of providing chemo denervation (such as botulinum toxin injections) for common neurological conditions.
