We have an immediate opening for a medical assistant in a fast-paced private neurosurgery practice. Hours of operation are typically 8:30 am-5 PM Monday through Friday. We offer competitive hourly rates and compensation varies based on work history. Seeking dedicated individuals who will be key employees as we grow and evolve. We have offices located in Stuart, Lake Worth, Palm Beach, & Fort Lauderdale. Ideally would like an employee willing to travel between all locations but negotiable.
Primary responsibilities are, but are not limited to:
Providing a safe and therapeutic environment for daily treatment sessions.
Effectively interacts with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare workers.
Participate in the insurance authorization process, track visits, schedule patient appointments, & coordinate care.
Demonstrate a high level of flexibility to meet patient needs.
Maintain accurate and timely patient records.
Provide educational consultations to interested patients.
Must have strong oral and written communication skills.
Office administrative tasks such as answering phones, responding to emails, scheduling appointments, and handling all medical records in compliance with HIPAA.
Assist surgeon & PAs in procedures.
Review medical history, current medications, current symptoms, and take vitals.
Must react calmly in emergency situations and make appropriate and timely decisions.
This position requires travel to all our locations.

Physically able to walk, stand, stoop, and bend.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates Degree.
CPR/AED certified.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
Medical Assistant Certification.
Radiology Technician Certification.
Orthopedic surgery, neurosurgery, or pain management experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Fluent in Spanish.
Experience with ECW
